Energetic Wedding Sangeet and Cocktail Music Performances
Get your guests moving with full masti, Punjabi dance mixes, and classic Bollywood hits. My band, Murshid, and I create the perfect high-energy Sangeet vibe, live and loud.
An Indian mehfil is incomplete without some traditional Punjabi Tappe. "Kothe Te Aa Mahiya" is a classic that always gets family members of all ages dancing together.
The energy of a crazy cocktail night is unmatched. Here, friends of the groom are celebrating friendship with the song "Ahsaan Mere Dil Pe Tumhara Hai Doston," a perfect anthem for the occasion.
A high-energy fusion of "Ye Tune Kya Kiya" and "Dumadum Mast Qalandar". I love interacting with the crowd and getting them to sing along with me, making the performance a shared experience.
Getting the whole crowd to sing along to the Punjabi wedding classic "Gud Naalo Ishq Mitha". These are the moments of pure joy and celebration that we live for.
There's nothing like seeing the bride, groom, and their friends dancing their hearts out. We played "Tere Jaisa Yaar Kahan" to celebrate their friendship, and the dance floor erupted.
We love making your wedding memorable by getting everyone involved. Here I am singing "S सौदा खरा खरा" and encouraging the guests to dance and enjoy the celebration to the fullest.
A Sufi night with a Bollywood tadka. We performed a retro classic, "Kajra Mohabbat Wala," and the guests loved the surprise, filling the dance floor for this evergreen hit.
Indian weddings are all about full masti and dance. We always add a Punjabi tadka to get the bride, groom, and their friends and family to let loose and celebrate together.
Making your wedding even more memorable by bringing everyone together on the dance floor. Here I am right in the middle of the action, dancing with the bride, groom, and their guests.
A live medley of Bollywood and Sufi hits, including "Tere Bin Nahi Lagda" and "Mere Rashke Qamar". This clip shows the audience dancing and enjoying our versatile performance.
About Wedding Sangeet & Cocktail Hits
For Sangeet and cocktail events, we bring a specialized 7-8 piece band, including a full drum kit, electric guitars, and octapad, to handle those high-tempo dance numbers. Because we focus on a 'Live N Loud' experience, a concert-grade PA system at your venue is essential for us to deliver that punchy, clear sound you hear in my videos.
When you want your wedding Sangeet or cocktail night to be a proper party, my team and I deliver exactly that. We move away from the seated, classical setup and switch to a high-energy, concert-style format designed to get the dance floor moving.
The Murshid Band Experience
My band, Murshid, consists of 14 talented musicians, but for your Sangeet, we configure a 7-8 piece high-energy unit. This includes:
- Rhythm Section: Full Drum Kit, Dholak, and Octapad.
- Melody: Lead Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, and Keyboard.
- Vocals: Myself on lead vocals, plus 1-2 backing vocalists to keep the energy up.
We play a mix of BollySufi fusion, Punjabi dance mixes, and high-tempo Bollywood numbers. The idea is to keep the performance interactive, where I jump into the crowd and get everyone singing along.
Technical Needs
Because we prioritize raw, live instrument sound over backing tracks, we require a professional-grade sound setup. We need a proper PA system with line arrays at the venue, managed by your AV partner. We also request an air-conditioned green room for the crew.
How We Work
I like to go with the flow of the crowd. Whether you need a non-stop 150-minute dance set or want to mix in a few classic wedding anthems, we adapt the performance in real-time. My goal is to make the wedding celebration feel like a shared experience, not just a stage show. Let me know the vibe you are looking for, and we will plan the setlist together.
Sameer Khan Niazi
I come from the Rampur Sahaswan Gharana, but my heart loves the high energy of a Sangeet night. When you book me and my band, Murshid, you get a full ensemble that thrives on audience interaction. We never use backing tracks; everything you hear is live, played with the sole purpose of making your guests dance until they drop. ❤️🧿✌️
