This is what we love to do: create an unforgettable party. Here I am, getting the groom and all the guests to join in for the ultimate celebration on a beautifully lit dance floor. We bring the energy, you just have to bring your dancing shoes.
A moment of pure musical devotion with the timeless ghazal, "Aafreen Aafreen". I always begin with a short shayari to set the mood, a tradition from my Rampur Sahaswan Gharana training, before diving into the soul of the song.
Nothing beats the joy of seeing everyone, from the youngest guests to the parents of the bride and groom, enjoying classic Bollywood dance tracks. Performing evergreen hits like "O Khaike Paan Banaras Wala" is a special request we love to fulfill at receptions and cocktail parties.
A wedding is all about the couple, and I love making their moments extra special. Here's a clip of me performing a special wedding mashup right beside the bride and groom, creating a personal and memorable experience just for them.
This is the full force of my band, Murshid. On a grand stage, our 14-piece ensemble brings a rich, layered sound to classics like "Mere Rashke Qamar", complete with live guitars, keyboards, and traditional percussion.
The energy of "Dumadum Mast Qalandar" is infectious. In this clip, you can see the guests completely immersed in the performance, dancing and celebrating while our talented percussionists drive the rhythm on tabla and dholak.
I believe music is more powerful when woven with poetry. I often start a song like "Kive Mukhde" with a heartfelt "Sher Arz Kiya Hai", blending Urdu shayari with soulful Sufi music to create a truly unique and captivating performance.
It was an honor to share the stage with the great Milind Gaba Bhai. We had a wonderful time performing a spontaneous rendition of "Mere Rashke Qamar" together, creating a magical moment for everyone present.

I do not use backing tracks, so every sound you hear—from the tabla beats to the electric guitar—is performed by my 14-piece ensemble. If you are planning an event, please ensure your AV team is ready for a technical rider, as a full live band setup is essential for us to deliver the sound quality you expect.
My roots are in the Rampur Sahaswan Gharana, and that tradition of 'taleem' or training guides every performance. Whether it is a Sufiyana Shaam with ghazals or a high-octane sangeet with Punjabi dance mixes, the goal is always to create a 'mehfil'—a space where the music bridges the gap between performer and guest.
The Live Band Experience
Murshid is a 14-member ensemble. We prioritize authentic, live instrumentation—tabla, dholak, keyboards, and electric guitars. This setup allows us to pivot from acoustic sets during intimate ceremonies to loud, vibrant concert-grade sound for cocktail nights. We don't just stand on stage; we engage the crowd to ensure everyone feels part of the celebration.
Practical Details for Your Venue
- Technical Requirements: Because we perform live with a large band, we require a professional sound setup. Clients are responsible for providing the PA system and monitors, and we will share our technical rider upon booking.
- Space & Setup: For our seated 'Baithak' style performances, a designated carpeted area works well, while our high-energy band shows require a minimum 12x10 ft raised stage to accommodate our musicians and instruments.
- Travel & Logistics: While we are based in the Delhi NCR area, my team and I travel extensively across India for weddings and corporate events. Please factor in accommodation and transport for our 14-member crew when planning outstation bookings.
