About Solo, Duet & Trio Performances
These smaller ensembles are versatile and work beautifully in venues that do not have massive stages. We only need a clear, flat space—ideally a wooden or carpeted floor—to ensure our dancers can move comfortably and safely. Since these sets rely on recorded high-fidelity audio, you won't need complex sound setups; a standard professional sound system with Bluetooth or Aux connectivity is all we need to get started.
When we perform as a solo artist or in a duet, the connection with the audience changes. The distance between the dancer and the viewer shrinks, allowing for subtle nuances in 'Abhinaya' (expressive storytelling) to shine. In our duet performances, like the one depicting the interplay between Rukmini and Satyabhama, we focus on the emotional dialogue between characters, which works exceptionally well for smaller gatherings or inaugural events where you want your guests to truly feel the story.
Our traditional repertoire for these sets is drawn from authentic Mohiniyattam schools. We prioritize the 'lasya'—the gentle, graceful aspect of the dance—making it perfect for lamp-lighting ceremonies, temple offerings, or intimate home functions. Each performance is supported by our high-fidelity backing tracks, ensuring you get the same sonic quality as our full-scale productions without the logistical complexity of a live orchestra.
If you are planning an event in Bangalore, we ensure that the dancers arrive with full traditional attire, including the authentic Kasavu sarees, temple jewelry, and fresh jasmine hair arrangements, ready to perform well before your guests arrive. We treat every small stage with the same reverence we bring to our larger temple offerings at Guruvayur, ensuring that the sanctity of the dance remains the focus throughout your event.
