About Professional Dance Productions & Performances
For me and my dance family, every Mohiniyattam performance is a heartfelt samarpanam - an offering, not just a show. Based in Bangalore, we mix tradition with a dash of fresh thinking, always rooted in what our Guru, Padmashree Bharati Shivaji, taught us. We keep things real, so the dance shines, not the dancer. Jaise hum kehte hain, "aise naacho ki naach hi bache" (dance in a way that only the dance remains).

My Story
We’re Samarpana, not just a dance school, more like a big, slightly crazy family. Started off in Bangalore back in 2018, all of us—kids, seniors, everyone—just mad about dance and music. Our guru Vinaya chechi leads us, but really, it’s all of us together, laughing, learning, sometimes goofing up, but always giving our hearts to every step. Our first show, ‘Ashtalakshmi’, felt like magic. That’s what we chase—connection, joy, and that special spark.
My Work
Mohiniyattam & Carnatic Music Classes - We teach Mohiniyattam (Bharati Shivaji style) and Carnatic music—kids, adults, all are welcome in our Bangalore space.
Workshops & Anubhavam Series - We run the Anubhavam Series with guest artists, plus special dance workshops for anyone wanting to try something new.
Professional Dance Productions - We create and perform original productions—sometimes traditional, sometimes wild and new, always heartfelt.
Community & Collaboration - Join us, you’re family. We travel, rehearse, perform, and just hang out together. It’s all about the collective vibe.
