Eco-Friendly Ganesha Sculpting Workshops in Banashankari
Join our hands-on Ganesha workshops to sculpt eco-friendly clay idols and explore creative art. We keep things messy, joyful, and deeply connected to our local traditions.
A happy group of students proudly holding their handmade Ganesha idols and drawings. We celebrate the Gowri Ganesha festival with immense joy and creativity at our Banashankari studio.
From pencil sketches to colorful masterpieces, our students learn to draw Lord Ganesha. This workshop focuses on artistic expression and celebrating the cultural significance of the festival.
About Ganesh Chaturthi Workshops
We skip the moulds and chemicals to focus on tactile learning. Every participant gets between 500g and 750g of river clay to sculpt their own Ganesha, making the process personal rather than mass-produced. It is about getting hands messy and feeling the material, not just making a perfect statue.
A Traditional Experience
At Sai Home Studio, we believe festivals are for participating, not just watching. When you join our Ganesha workshops in Banashankari, you step into a space designed for community learning. We use floor mats to encourage a traditional setup, where children and parents sit together to create something meaningful.
Why Eco-Friendly Matters
We are committed to preserving our environment. By using natural river clay instead of Plaster of Paris or chemical-based paints, we ensure that every idol created in our studio is safe for water immersion.
Workshop Details
- Age Group: Our sessions are open to kids aged 4 and above. We find that children at this age are incredibly imaginative when given natural clay and a little guidance.
- Process: We avoid pre-made moulds. Our instructors provide step-by-step guidance on structure, helping participants build their Ganesha from scratch using basic sculpting tools like toothpicks and plastic knives.
- Art Sessions: Besides sculpting, we often pair our clay workshops with Ganesha-themed drawing and painting activities, so your child goes home with more than one masterpiece.
Practical Info
We provide all materials, including 500g-750g of river clay and a selection of non-toxic paints. The studio environment is kept festive with traditional decor, and we often wrap up with a small treat for the kids. If you are coming with a group or planning to attend as a family, we recommend confirming your slot early as our batch sizes are kept to a comfortable 15-25 participants to ensure everyone gets enough attention.
