Celebrating Indian Traditions and Community Culture
We believe traditions are best learned through shared joy. Join our community in Banashankari for hands-on festival workshops, cultural storytelling, and fun celebrations that connect us to our roots.
A glimpse of our vibrant Sankranti celebration. The day was filled with traditional attire, dancing, and learning about the festival's customs, like the significance of coconut and sugarcane.
Celebrating Sri Rama Navami with a visit to a local temple. We believe in providing children with immersive cultural experiences that connect them to our traditions.
A heartwarming Teacher's Day surprise from our students. We are so grateful for the love and appreciation shown through their beautiful handmade cards and kind words.
About Celebrating Our Community & Traditions
Our studio is intentionally designed as an adda, or a relaxed hangout space, rather than a rigid classroom. When we celebrate festivals like Sankranti or Sri Rama Navami, children learn about cultural customs through activity, like understanding the significance of traditional ingredients during festivities, instead of memorizing dates from a textbook.
Our approach to culture is immersive. We avoid lectures and formal presentations, preferring to let children experience traditions through sensory play and active participation.
Why Our Community Workshops Work
- Active Learning: Whether it is a Sankranti gathering where we explain the importance of harvest symbols or celebrating Teacher's Day with handmade cards and gratitude, the focus remains on building memories.
- Small Groups: We keep batches small to ensure every child gets involved, whether they are learning Shlokas or performing a folk dance.
- Dress Code: We encourage ethnic wear for these sessions to help set the mood and get everyone into the festive spirit.
Our space is kept intentionally informal, allowing kids to relax, get messy with colors during art sessions, and ask questions freely. This comfort creates a natural curiosity that drives their learning long after the event ends. Families looking for a grounding, local connection for their children in the heart of Banashankari are always welcome here.
