Dussehra & Navratri Cultural Camp for Kids

Our Dussehra and Navratri camp is less of a classroom and more of a festive adda where children learn by doing. We structure the five days to balance high-energy dance sessions with quieter, focused art projects.

For instance, the morning sessions often start with movement. We teach basic Dandiya and Garba steps because getting kids on their feet is the fastest way to get them excited about the culture. We provide the Dandiya sticks, which the children often decorate themselves during the craft block to make them their own.

The art portion moves beyond basic coloring. We explore tote bag painting, canvas art, and intricate Dussehra doodles. These are not just crafts to take home; they are projects that help children understand the aesthetics behind our festivals.

We also include a fireless cooking component. This is always a hit because it allows kids to participate in food preparation safely. They get to assemble simple festive snacks, which builds confidence and practical kitchen skills without the need for heat.

We hold all sessions at our Banashankari studio. We keep the setup simple, with floor mats and an open layout that fosters interaction between students. We encourage traditional ethnic wear on specific days to help everyone get into the celebratory mood.
