At Eka, festivals are not just holidays; they are vibrant, hands-on classrooms. We bring our rich heritage to life through shared experiences that help children build a personal connection to their roots.

Our school is a place of many celebrations. This video shows glimpses of our Onam and Ganesh Visarjan events, where children created beautiful flower rangolis and bid farewell to Ganesha, learning that every festival is a reason for happiness and togetherness.

Krishna Janmashtami is a day filled with divine energy at Eka. Children dress up as little Krishnas and Radhas, and we invite parents to participate as Yashodas, nurturing a beautiful connection between family, culture, and the school community.

Holi at Eka is a vibrant explosion of joy, laughter, and color. We create a safe and inclusive space where children and adults play together, fostering confidence and a sense of security as they celebrate the festival of colors.

We celebrate Republic Day with immense pride. By involving children in the flag hoisting ceremony and singing patriotic songs, we instill a sense of love and respect for our country from a very young age.

Makar Sankranti, the harvest festival, is a time for gratitude. We celebrated with colorful Kolam, making torans, and sharing yellu bella, teaching children about the importance of our agricultural roots and the joy of new beginnings.

Christmas at Eka is a magical time. The children's energy doubles as we decorate the tree, sing carols, and welcome Santa. It's a wonderful celebration of joy, giving, and togetherness.

Diwali, the festival of lights, was extra special this year. The children were involved in every step, from making and painting their own diyas to decorating the school and offering prayers, making the celebration a truly hands-on experience.

Dussehra is a perfect time to share stories of our culture. The children celebrated by arranging a beautiful Golu display, making Mysore elephants, and playing Dandiya, learning about the victory of good over evil through joyful activities.

For Onam, our children came together to create a beautiful Pookalam, or flower rangoli. This simple act of sorting petals and arranging them taught them about teamwork, aesthetics, and the cultural significance of the harvest festival.

Our Ganesh Chaturthi celebration was full of activity. Children made Ganesha leaf crafts, welcomed the idol with prayers, and enjoyed laddoos. These small, engaging activities help them connect with the festival's spirit.

About Joyful Festival Celebrations

When we celebrate a festival, we don't just talk about it. For example, during our recent Diwali and Onam activities, children didn't just watch us decorate, they hand-painted their own diyas and carefully arranged flower petals for the Pookalam. This hands-on involvement helps them feel a sense of ownership, making the cultural story feel personal rather than just a lesson from a textbook.
