About Competition & Events
Competition prep here is about Fight IQ, not just raw aggression. When we run our local Boxing and Jiu Jitsu 'Jams', the goal is to create a space where you can test your skills against different partners under controlled pressure. You aren't just sparring; you are learning how to handle transitions, manage distance, and stay calm when things get heavy. It is the best way to bridge the gap between drilling in class and performing when it counts.
Why We Run 'Jams'
Most gyms wait until you are a 'pro' to let you spar seriously. I do things differently. My Boxing Jams and Jiu Jitsu Jams are for everyone who wants to learn. It is not about winning a belt in the gym; it is about testing what you know against a moving, breathing opponent. This is where you find out if your technique actually works or if you have a hole in your game.
Building Your Fight IQ
Preparing for competition is a mental game. Whether you are aiming for a local tournament or representing at the national level, my training approach stays the same: technical correction, situational sparring, and honest feedback. We break down your movement, footwork, and reactions. If you are training at our HSR Layout or RT Nagar dojos, you will get the same level of attention as my competition team members.
