Sparring and Combat Events for All Skill Levels
We host controlled, beginner-friendly sparring events in Bangalore. It is a space to apply what you have learned, build confidence, and get real experience in a supportive environment.
Celebrating a victory is always sweeter with your friends, family, and teammates around. Here's a student with his championship belt after a kickboxing competition.
This is a promo video for one of my students who represented Team India. It shows the journey from road work and shadow boxing to live sparring and grappling, which is what we prepare for.
About Test Your Skills: Sparring & Events
We treat sparring like jazz—it is all about rhythm and flow, not just power. In our 'Boxing Jams' and Jiu Jitsu Jams, we strictly control the intensity so you can focus on reading your partner's movement rather than just landing a hit. This approach ensures you can test your skills and get immediate technical feedback without the stress or risks of a real bout.
Martial arts can feel abstract when you only practice drills on a bag. That is why I started these events. The goal here is simple: safety, learning, and then bragging rights. We want you to feel confident applying your boxing footwork or BJJ transitions in a dynamic, moving environment.
How We Keep It Safe
- Managed Intensity: We match partners based on skill level and experience. No ego, no 'trying to knock your head off.'
- Technical Focus: These are learning sessions. If a technique works, we celebrate it. If it does not, we pause, talk about why, and try it again.
- Community Environment: You are sparring with friends, not opponents. Whether you are training at our HSR Layout or RT Nagar locations, the vibe remains supportive.
Preparing for Your First Spar
If you have been attending our group classes, you are likely already building the foundation needed for these sessions. We look for solid guard discipline and basic movement patterns before inviting you to spar. Do not worry about being ready; just focus on showing up. If you are training remotely, I provide specific drills you can practice to prepare for when you join us on the mats in person. This is a long journey, and we are all just fellow travelers on it.
Rama Reddy
I built this dojo to be a place where we actually apply what we study. Whether it is your first time putting on gloves or you are gearing up for a tournament, I am right there on the mats with you to make sure we keep it technical, safe, and fun.
