I am obsessed with the details, from the zardosi shine to delicate pearl work. Take a closer look at the fine needlework that makes my custom blouses unique.

About A Closer Look: Hand Embroidery Details

I don't believe in standard patterns; every motif, from the mythical Gandaberunda to delicate floral vines, is hand-stitched by my artisans to ensure your blouse isn't just tailored, but crafted to match your event's theme perfectly. Whether you choose raw silk or velvet, we focus on high-quality Zardosi and Aari techniques that hold their beauty through any celebration.

My Approach to Hand Embroidery

When you come to my Sadashivnagar studio, the first thing we do is talk. I want to know the vibe of your event and the saree you are pairing the blouse with. We don't just pick a design from a catalog; we create something that complements your specific look.

What Goes Into Your Blouse

  • The Foundation: We start with high-quality fabrics like raw silk, brocade, or velvet. These provide the necessary weight and structure for intricate handwork.
  • The Technique: I specialize in Zardosi, Aari, and beadwork. If you look closely at my work, you will see the difference in how we mix these techniques—like using a scalloped edge with zardosi piping or combining stones with threadwork for depth.
  • The Motifs: I love incorporating traditional Indian elements. The Gandaberunda motif is a personal favorite for a regal look, but I also enjoy working on modern, clean floral patterns if that fits your style better.

The Timeline

Because every stitch is manual, I generally need about 10 to 20 days to complete a piece, depending on how heavy the embroidery is. This includes our consultation sessions to finalize the neck design—whether it’s a sweetheart, pot, or high neck—and at least one fitting session to get the princess or katori cut just right for your body type.

My goal is to make sure you walk away with a piece that feels like it was made exactly for you, not just another garment off a rack.
