Custom Sangeet & Reception Outfits

When I design for a Sangeet or a reception, my priority is movement. Whether you are planning a high-energy dance performance or a formal evening, I focus on the internal structure—like adding high-quality can-can for volume or ensuring sculpted shoulders stay perfectly in place—so you feel confident and comfortable throughout your big event.

Finding the balance between a dramatic, red-carpet look and an outfit that you can actually dance in is the tricky part of styling for Sangeet or Cocktail nights. That is where my process at Rithi Design Studio comes in. I do not believe in off-the-rack sizing for these events.

Why Custom for Sangeet & Reception?

• Movement & Comfort: If you have a dance performance, we look at the weight of the lehenga or gown. I use premium, flowy fabrics like organza or scuba that give you that high-fashion silhouette without restricting your steps.
• Sculpted Details: For reception gowns, I love working with structured shoulders, corsets, and ruffles. These elements stay put regardless of how much you move, ensuring you look crisp from the first photo to the last dance.
• Personalization: Your outfit should match your vibe, not just the trend. If you want a multi-color look for your Mehndi or a shimmered rose gold gown for the evening, we sketch it together at my Sadashivnagar studio.

How We Start

I recommend booking a consultation at least 3-4 weeks before your event. We start by looking at your inspiration boards, then I guide you on fabric choices and embroidery that suit your event time. For fusion pieces, I focus on integrating modern cuts like off-shoulder details or high-low hemlines with traditional handwork touches. Whether you are the bride, sister, or part of the bridal party, my goal is to make sure your outfit is as unique as your energy on the dance floor.
