About Custom Hand-Embroidered Blouses
Because hand-embroidery is a slow, meticulous process, please keep in mind that custom pieces take time to create. I work directly with you to sketch necklines, choose the perfect zardosi or pearl accents, and ensure the fit is spot-on, so reach out well before your wedding dates to get us started on your blouse.
My studio is about more than just stitching; it is about creating a piece of art. Whether you love the classic, heavy look of traditional Maggam work or a modern fusion design with intricate crystal placement, I focus on the details that matter most.
We start with a one-on-one consultation in my Sadashivnagar studio. We look at your saree, discuss your vision, and sketch out the necklines and sleeve lengths that flatter you. I love adding personal touches—like your wedding date or your partner's initials—hidden in the zardosi work.
I use high-grade raw silk and velvet as a base, ensuring the structure is perfect with padded cups and sweat-absorbing cotton lining. The embroidery involves antique gold zari, semi-precious stones, and French knots to add depth. If you have a specific motif in mind, or want to match a custom parrot or peacock design to your Kanjeevaram, we make that happen.
Since every blouse is made-to-measure, we conduct at least two fitting rounds to guarantee a zero-crease, perfect fit. For those living outside Bangalore, I can guide you through a remote measurement process so you still get a custom-tailored piece delivered to your doorstep.
