Exquisite Hand-Embroidered Blouses for Your Special Day
The blouse is where I pour my heart into every stitch. From delicate Zardosi to stories told through needlework, let’s design a piece that is uniquely yours.
This blouse is a perfect example of my passion for detail. It features a sheer back with intricate zardosi work depicting birds on a branch, creating a stunning piece of wearable art for the bride's parrot green and red Kanjeevaram.
A back view of a stunning bridal blouse. This design features a sheer panel embroidered with a 'doli' scene, telling the story of the bride's journey. It’s these personal narratives that I love to weave into my work.
A close-up of the sleeve of a peach organza blouse. The entire sleeve is heavily embroidered with zardosi, beads, and threadwork, creating a rich and luxurious texture that feels incredible to wear.
A showcase of a custom blouse designed for a yellow Banarasi silk saree. The sleeves feature delicate pin-tucks with scattered beadwork, while the neckline is adorned with multi-colored floral embroidery.
Sometimes a pop of a third color can elevate the entire look. This yellow blouse, designed for a pink and blue saree, features bright blue floral details in the embroidery, tying the whole outfit together beautifully.
I love experimenting with different textures. This blouse is crafted from rich red velvet and paired with a silk saree. The floral embroidery uses zardosi and pastel-colored threads for a contemporary yet regal look.
A unique touch for a special bride. This blouse features a hand-embroidered crown motif on the back, a little detail to make her feel like the queen that she is on her wedding day.
About this collection
Before we start, I always ask: what story do you want to wear? Whether it is a specific bird you love or a motif that reminds you of home, I sketch that into the Maggam work. My process involves fine-tuning these details through video calls or studio visits, ensuring that the heavy Zardosi or delicate cutwork does not just look good, but sits perfectly on your shoulders for the long wedding hours.
Your Blouse, Your Canvas
For me, the blouse is never just an accessory. It is the statement piece that defines the entire look. Whether you are wearing a timeless Kanjeevaram or a modern organza saree, the blouse holds the design together. At my studio in Padmanabhanagar, I love working with you to figure out the right balance—how much heavy embroidery is too much, and where we can add a touch of whimsy.
The Art of Detail
I specialize in classic techniques like Zardosi, French knots, and Maggam work. These aren't just decorations; they are how we tell a story. If you want a sheer back, I ensure the structural integrity matches the aesthetic. If you prefer a traditional heavy bridal blouse, I focus on the elbow-length sleeve coverage and the intricate back yoke, using stones and antique beads that catch the light beautifully.
Beyond the Thread
- Personalized Motifs: From crowns to specific floral patterns, I love adding elements that mean something to you.
- Material Play: We work with various fabrics—rich velvets for a regal feel, airy organza for a modern look, or classic silks.
- Collaborative Process: Distance is not an issue. If you are in the US, Dubai, or anywhere else, we use video calls and physical swatches to get the fit exactly right.
My goal is simple: when you wear one of my creations, I want you to feel that same strength and confidence I feel when I wear my own sarees. It is not just about looking pretty; it is about feeling like yourself.
