About Join An Upcoming Workshop
Our workshops are not lectures. Whether we are hosting a Tinker Kinder session online or a live repair cafe in your city, your child will be the one holding the tools. We require participants to bring their own basic toolkit and the item they want to fix, because the real learning happens when they encounter a stripped screw or a stuck chain and figure out the solution with guidance from our mentors.
We believe fixing is a fundamental life skill that has been lost in the culture of convenience. At our workshops, we do not just teach theory; we provide the space and encouragement for kids to understand how their world works.
We create a supportive environment where trying is more important than succeeding. If a toy does not light up again or a circuit remains broken, it is not a failure. It is a lesson in diagnostics and perseverance.
We structure our sessions to cover specific domains:
- Bicycle Maintenance: From brake adjustments to chain cleaning and tyre care.
- Electronics: Basic soldering, circuit testing, and gadget troubleshooting.
- Textile Mending: Hand-sewing, darning, and creative upcycling to give old clothes a new look.
Sessions are offered as either single-topic deep dives or comprehensive multi-week courses. We keep batches small, typically 10 to 15 kids, to ensure every participant gets individual attention from our mentors. Whether it is a weekend online session via Google Meet or an in-person event at a local makerspace, come prepared to get your hands messy and solve problems.

We are a collective of teachers, tinkerers, and parents who got tired of seeing perfectly good items hit the landfill. We believe that when kids learn to repair their own toys or bicycles, they develop a sense of ownership and care that lasts a lifetime.
