About Bicycle Repair & Maintenance

Our workshops are strictly hands-on. Your child needs their bicycle and a basic toolkit by their side while we guide them through the camera. It gets messy, and that is exactly how we learn to handle real repairs that last.

We started this movement because we believe in the mantra, 'Don't throw, FIX!' Whether it is a dusty cycle in the backyard or a daily commuter, we help kids learn to care for their belongings. Our bicycle modules go beyond surface cleaning. We dive into the mechanics that keep a bike rolling safely.

What we cover

In our live Google Meet sessions, we break down bicycle mechanics into simple, actionable steps. Students learn to handle cleaning and degreasing, essential brake adjustments, tire pressure management, and fixing punctures. We do not just show them how it is done, we guide them through the actual process on their own bikes. By the end of a workshop, they understand how to identify a loose chain, adjust a brake lever, and maintain the gears.

Our approach

This is not a lecture. It is a shared space for trial, error, and discovery. If a repair does not work the first time, that is part of the process. We encourage kids to ask questions, tinker, and understand the 'why' behind every turn of the wrench. We keep our batches small to ensure every participant gets clear, real-time feedback from our mentors.

Practical requirements

Because these are interactive sessions, your child will need their bicycle set up near your Wi-Fi router. While we provide the knowledge and guidance, please ensure you have a basic toolkit ready—typically a screwdriver, a set of pliers, and a pump. We welcome all skill levels, from complete beginners to young riders who want to understand the machines they ride every day. Our goal is to make sure that by the time we log off, your child feels empowered to handle minor repairs without waiting for a mechanic.
