About Woodwork & Bookbinding
You might walk in with a wobbly chair that has lost its stability or a stack of old paper headed for the bin, but you will walk out with a new skill. Our mentors guide you through the process, but you are the one using the clamps, saws, and binding thread. It is a space for you to try, fail, and learn, not a service drop-off.
Whether you are looking to mend a small piece of wooden furniture or want to master the craft of binding sheets into beautiful notebooks, our workshops are designed to help you get hands-on. We are not a professional repair shop that takes your item and returns it fixed. We are a community of tinkers who provide the tools, the space, and the guidance so that you can do the fixing yourself.
In our woodworking sessions, we focus on small, manageable projects. If you have a chair with a loose leg, a drawer that gets stuck, or a small box that needs a bit of structural love, bring it along. Our mentors will help you understand how to use tools like clamps and saws safely, teaching you how to diagnose the issue and apply the right fix. It is about learning the basics so you can tackle more problems at home.
Our bookbinding workshops take a different approach. Here, we focus on upcycling. You will learn to take paper waste and transform it into unique, functional journals. It teaches precision, patience, and the joy of creating something from scratch. You will learn how to fold, stitch, and bind, turning materials that would otherwise end up in the trash into something you can actually use.
We host these sessions across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad. The environment is collaborative and informal. You will see kids, students, and seniors working side-by-side, sharing tools and tips. Remember, not every repair succeeds on the first try, and that is perfectly okay. We believe in the process of learning together. Join us for a session, bring your project, and let us say 'Repair Maadi!' together.
