DIY Home Decor Workshops in Bengaluru
I believe making things with your own hands is the ultimate stress-buster. Join me to transform everyday waste into beautiful, sustainable home decor with simple, hands-on techniques.
This video is a quick tour of what my DIY workshops are all about. You can see how we turn a simple cane basket into a boho-style lamp with tassels, give old cans a new life as colorful planters, and even create clever wall art to hide things like an MCB board. It's all about being creative, resourceful, and making things with your own hands.
Watch me give this old bedside table a complete makeover. I'll show you how to use basic tools and materials like Mod Podge and wallpaper to completely transform a piece of furniture. This is a perfect example of a weekend project that adds a personal touch to your bedroom decor.
This is one of my favorite projects, creating large-scale fabric wall art. I'll walk you through the process, from choosing contrasting fabrics and lace ribbons to stapling them onto a canvas. It’s a satisfying way to make a statement piece for your living room without needing to be a painter.
Here are two of my favorite upcycled creations side by side. The hanging lamp is made from a cane basket I found at a local Bangalore market, decorated with tassels. Next to it is a custom artwork I made using leftover wallpaper and IKEA frames to cleverly hide my home's MCB board.
This is me in Jodhpur, soaking in the beautiful heritage and architecture. Moments like these, surrounded by traditional design and craftsmanship, are a huge source of inspiration for the 'desi style' DIY projects I love to create and teach.
About this collection
We do not chase perfection here. Whether it is turning an old cane basket into a bohemian pendant lamp or giving a tired bedside table a fresh look with wallpaper and paint, we focus on the process. You do not need to be 'crafty' to start. If you can handle a hot glue gun and have a little patience, you are already halfway there to making something you will be proud to display at home.
My workshops are designed to be a break from the noise of daily life. It is like logging off from the world and logging into your own creativity. I love 'desi style' DIY—that means hunting for fabrics on Commercial Street, finding treasure in what you would usually throw away, and learning techniques that do not require expensive equipment.
We cover a range of projects, from simple planters made of upcycled cans to large-format fabric wall art using layering techniques. During our sessions, you will learn surface preparation for different materials, how to use Mod Podge for decoupage, and even how to make custom tassels for your decor.
Every workshop includes everything you need. You do not have to worry about buying tools or materials; just bring your curiosity. We take things slow, embrace the hot glue spills, and focus on making your space feel more 'you' without the pressure of needing a professional finish. It is about the joy of creating something real with your own hands.
