About Our Success Stories
It is important to know that these aren't drop-off repair shops. When you bring your broken item to our sessions, you're signing up for a 2-4 hour hands-on experience where our volunteer mentors guide you through the process, but you do the actual fixing yourself.
At our repair cafes, the 'Fixed!' sign you see in these photos is more than just a win. It is the result of someone taking a broken toy, a torn shirt, or a flickering lamp and giving it another chance. We believe in the power of 'Repair Maadi'—a Kannada phrase that encourages us to just get in there and fix things.
When you join us, you aren't just paying for a service. You are joining a movement of people who want to understand how their things work. Our mentors are there to guide, share tools, and help you troubleshoot, but the hands doing the work are yours. Whether it is soldering a wire on an old radio, learning how to stitch a patch onto your favourite jacket, or fixing a bicycle gear, you will leave with a new skill.
It is okay if things do not go perfectly on the first try. We have had days where a blender or a watch did not come back to life, and that is part of the learning. The success is in the trying, the community, and the shared space we build together. You will find us hosting pop-ups across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad, partnering with local spaces to keep our workshops accessible.
Bring your broken items, but leave your hesitation at the door. If you are worried about not knowing anything, don't be. Our sessions are for everyone—kids, parents, and seniors alike. We provide the soldering stations, the sewing kits, and the community knowledge. You bring the curiosity and your broken item. Let’s keep things out of landfills and build a culture of care, one repair at a time.
