Precision, power, and rhythm. We train every student to master their movements, from fundamental stances to complex Poomsae patterns required for belt testing and competition.

About Forms (Poomsae) & Technical Training

It is not just about memorizing sequences. When we drill Poomsae, we focus on where your weight sits in every single stance. If your balance is off, your strike loses its power. This is the technical foundation that separates a recreational student from a competitive fighter.

Many beginners view Poomsae as a dance, but here at Prahar, we treat it as a battle. Your form, rhythm, and control are the first things judges notice at tournaments. We break down every movement in the Taeguk series, ensuring your blocking, striking, and movement are crisp and deliberate.

Why Technical Training Matters

Your belt promotion depends on your technical proficiency. We don't rush through the curriculum. Whether you are aiming for a Yellow belt or preparing for your Dan (Black belt) examination, we ensure you understand the mechanics behind every movement. This is what we call 'clean' Taekwondo—no sloppy kicks, no weak stances.

Preparing for Competition

While forms are an individual event, they demand the focus of a combat sport. We use these drills to build the muscle memory required for Kyorugi (sparring). A fighter with poor form is easy to read, but a fighter with disciplined technical training is hard to beat. We emphasize:

  • Correct Stance: Building a solid base for both defense and offense.
  • Rhythm and Breathing: Controlling your energy during the demonstration.
  • Accuracy: Ensuring every strike hits the imaginary target with intent.

We train on standard 25mm EVA foam mats to ensure safety while you work on advanced footwork and jumping kicks. Our batches are structured to keep the student-to-coach ratio manageable, so every fighter gets the individual correction they need to improve. If you are ready to put in the hours, we will help you sharpen your technique.
