Authentic Yoga & Somatic Healing
I’m Gurpreet. Forget about chasing perfect poses or aesthetic shapes—my sessions are about accountability, emotional release, and showing up for yourself. Whether you’re joining me online or in a Bangalore park, we’re doing the real work here.
This is what it means to connect with your practice on a deeper level. Here I am holding Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana by the flowing Ganga in Rishikesh. For me, yoga isn't just about the mat; it's about finding stillness and strength in the heart of nature's energy.
Let's talk about accountability. My sessions are for you if you're ready to move past excuses and do the work, without the guilt or shame. I'm here to help you identify what's holding you back and build a routine that creates real change.
Leading a community yoga and sound healing session in a Bangalore park. There's a special energy when we practice together under the open sky, connecting with nature and each other. These sessions are my way of sharing the joy of outdoor practice.
A glimpse into one of our online group yoga classes. We connect from all over, creating a supportive community right from our homes. You can see the smiles and focus, which is what our virtual shala is all about.
This is what resilience looks like in practice. I fell, it hurt, and my ego was bruised. But the real yoga is in getting back up and trying again. This is the core lesson I bring to my classes: it’s not about never falling, it’s about learning how to get up.
Exploring a wall-assisted Chakrasana, or Wheel Pose. Using props like a wall helps deepen backbends safely, opening the heart and strengthening the entire body. My practice is about using tools to understand our bodies, not force them.
Taking a moment of peace in the Himalayas. Being a 'mountain girl' is a huge part of my identity and my spiritual practice. This is where I connect with myself and find my God, in the quiet majesty of nature.
About this collection
I keep my online group sessions interactive with video-on as a mandate because I’m not here to just show you moves; I’m here to correct your form and ensure you’re actually connecting with your breath. This isn't a passive watch-and-learn class. It’s a live, high-accountability environment where we focus on somatic release and breaking the patterns that keep you stuck, one session at a time.
My Approach: Yoga Beyond the Mat
If you're looking for someone to guide you through fancy Instagram-worthy poses, we might not be the right fit. My practice is rooted in Yoga Psychology and Somatic Healing. I work with people who are tired of avoiding their emotions and are ready to use movement to clear out stress, manage PCOD symptoms, and regulate their nervous system.
What You Can Expect
- Online Somatic & Hatha Yoga: We meet 3 days a week (Mon-Wed-Fri) at 6:30 PM IST. It’s a hybrid flow designed for sedentary lifestyles and chronic stiffness. We work on the hips and shoulders—the places where we store most of our stress—using specific breathwork ratios to shift your body from 'fight or flight' to 'rest and digest.'
- Accountability First: My sessions are a 'no-excuse' zone. We identify what’s blocking you from your routine, and I help you move past it without the guilt or shame that usually comes with falling off the wagon.
- Bangalore Park Sessions: If you're in Bangalore, I occasionally host outdoor pop-ups. We do yoga under the trees followed by a live sound bowl session. It's a community vibe—pet-friendly, raw, and honestly, the best way to reconnect with your body.
Why Yoga Psychology?
I’m RYT500 certified, but I also look at the 'why' behind the movement. We integrate talk therapy with prescriptive asanas. If you're dealing with anxiety, we might focus on grounding postures. If you're struggling with self-trust, we work on inversions or heart-openers. It’s about using the body to heal the mind, and I’ll be right there to ensure you put in the effort required to make it happen.
Gurpreet Kaur
I’m Gurpreet, a yoga psychologist who’s tired of seeing people chase aesthetic poses while ignoring their actual emotional baggage. I don't care if you're flexible—I care about how you feel, how you heal, and whether you're ready to stop making excuses and start showing up for yourself.
