Yoga in Nature: Mindful Outdoor Sessions in Bangalore
I’m Gurpreet. I host yoga and sound healing sessions outdoors in Bangalore parks. It is where I find my own balance, and I would love for you to join me.
A quick recap of my first offline yoga session in three years. I invited people to join me in Cubbon Park, and these beautiful souls showed up to share their Sunday morning with me. I'll definitely be doing this again soon.
Me, sitting under a magnificent tree during one of my park yoga sessions. The ground was covered in yellow flowers, and it was a beautiful morning to connect with nature and community.
Participants meditating during our weekend yoga session in the park. It's a wonderful experience to guide people in such a serene, natural environment.
A moment from the sound healing portion of our park session. Using a singing bowl under this large tree created a deeply resonant and grounding experience for everyone.
Even the local doggos join in for some relaxation during our park yoga sessions. This little guy made himself right at home on a yoga mat.
Another furry friend enjoying the calm vibes of our sound healing practice. Animals are so receptive to peaceful energy, and their presence always adds to the magic.
You can't plan for everything when you practice outdoors. This friendly dog decided he wanted to be part of the sound healing session, a funny and heartwarming moment of connection.
About this collection
Most people think yoga requires a studio, but the ground under a tree at Cubbon Park offers a kind of grounding you just cannot get indoors. My park sessions run for 90 minutes, blending a gentle flow with sound healing using singing bowls. It is pet-friendly, completely unpretentious, and we focus entirely on how your body feels rather than what a pose looks like. Just bring your own mat—the rest is sorted.
Yoga is meant to be a connection to the elements, not just a workout in a climate-controlled room. Living in a city like Bangalore, we often forget that we are part of the ecosystem, not separate from it. That is why I started hosting these outdoor sessions.
When we practice on the grass, we deal with uneven surfaces, the hum of the city, and the shifting light. It forces your nervous system to adapt, which is exactly what we need when we are stressed or feeling stuck. My weekend pop-ups are specifically designed for this. We start with a slow, accessible flow to wake up the muscles, followed by a sound bath with Tibetan singing bowls to soothe the mind.
I keep these sessions community-focused and casual. You will see people of all experience levels, and yes, usually a few local dogs who decide our mats are the perfect nap spots. I provide hands-on adjustments—something I cannot do in my online sessions—to help you find proper alignment safely. If you are looking for a break from your screen and want to get back into your body, these pop-ups are for you. It is raw, it is real, and it is a reminder that you do not need a fancy studio to find peace.
