Welcome to my kitchen! Here is a peek into the Pikkle Shikkle story—from the fresh local produce I hand-pick to the busy market stalls where I love meeting all of you.

This is me, Gurdeep Kaur, with one of my creations. I started this business at 60, and every jar I make is filled with the authentic Punjabi flavours I grew up with.

My Spicy Mango Pickle, a true classic. I use fresh, raw mangoes and a special blend of spices to give it that proper Punjabi kick you won't find anywhere else.

Before any pickle is made, I make sure every vegetable and fruit is perfectly clean. Here you can see us washing fresh raw mangoes, the first step to making real *ghar ka achaar*.

Nothing makes me happier than a busy day at the market. So many people come to my stall to taste and find their favourite homemade pickles, just like these folks.

For those who like it sweet and sour, my Mango Jaggery pickle is a must-try. I use natural jaggery instead of sugar, which gives it a unique, rich flavour.

When customers tell me my pickles are a "boon" for those missing home, it makes all the hard work worth it. I love hearing from you.

This is a family business, built with love. Here I am with my husband, my biggest supporter, at one of our market stalls, ready to serve you.

I love meeting my customers and letting them taste the pickles themselves. Here, I'm sharing a sample, because I know once you try it, you'll love the real homemade taste.

It's all about the mangoes. My spicy mango pickle and sweet mango jam are made from the best raw mangoes, ensuring every jar is packed with fresh, natural flavour.

About Featured

Every jar you see here is made by me in small, sun-dried batches without any preservatives or artificial colours. When I say it is ghar ka achaar, I mean it—I source local produce and use the same recipes I have perfected over the years, just like I do for my own family.

My Kitchen, My Rules

I started Pikkle Shikkle when I turned 60, not because I was looking for a business, but because I wanted to share the taste of home. In my kitchen, there are no shortcuts. Every batch of pickle is handmade, sun-dried, and packed into a glass jar with a whole lot of love. Because I do not use any artificial preservatives or chemicals, please remember to store your jars in the fridge to keep the taste fresh for longer.

What You Will Find Here

This collection features my most popular creations that keep customers coming back:

  • Spicy Mango Pickle: The classic Punjabi kick you have been looking for.
  • Lemon Crush: My personal favourite and a must-try for everyone who visits my stall.
  • Garlic Chutney & Crush: Bold, spicy, and perfectly addictive.
  • Mixed Veg Pickle: The perfect balance of crunch and tang.
  • Sweet Mango Jaggery: For those who like a mix of sweet and sour.

Why Hand-Made Matters

When you buy from me, you are getting food made with the same ingredients I would use for my husband Ekbal and our family. Whether you are craving the pungency of pure mustard oil or the rich sweetness of jaggery, my recipes focus on traditional Punjabi flavours. I am always at the markets in Bangalore meeting you folks, sharing samples, and listening to what you love. If you are missing home-cooked food, these jars are my way of bringing that comfort to your table.
