Behind the Scenes: My Art Studio & Process
Welcome to my creative corner in Delhi. This is where I sketch, film my tutorials, and escape the daily grind. Come see how the magic actually happens.
A quick look into my life with art. From my home studio to my balcony, art is my escape and my passion, and I love sharing that process with my students.
A quick video showing the Faber Castell 9000 pencils I use for my graphite drawings. You don't need expensive tools to start, but I can show you what I use.
This is the struggle you don't always see. A behind the scenes look at how I set up my camera and lighting to film my art videos.
This is the reality for many artists: balancing a corporate job with a passion for art. Late nights are often spent switching between coding and creating.
Drawing is my form of meditation. Here I'm working on a colorful drawing of a tricycle using markers, which is a great way to relax and focus.
There's nothing more peaceful than drawing on a rainy day. The quiet atmosphere helps me get into a creative flow.
Setting up my camera to film the painting process. I then start blocking in the main shapes of the mountains with a base layer of grey acrylic paint.
About this collection
People usually see the final sketch, but my desk is a total mess most days. I record my lessons right here in my room using a basic ring light and my Canon camera. I am not a professional filmmaker, so you will see the reality—sometimes the camera focus slips or I spill my paint water, but that is all part of 3h ki mehnat (3 hours of hard work) to get things right for my students.
My Creative Space
This is not a fancy studio. It is just a desk in my Delhi home where I switch from coding to sketching. You will often find me here late at night, letting the rain hit the window while I work. It is where I find my peace, whether I am doing hyperrealistic pencil drawing or experimenting with acrylics.
The Tools I Use
You do not need expensive gear to start. I use a mix of reliable stuff like Faber-Castell 9000 pencils and Ohuhu markers, alongside digital tools like the iPad and Procreate. I believe in showing my students exactly what each tool does, from blending stumps to makeup brushes for shading. If you are curious about my setup, I am happy to guide you on what to buy and what you can skip.
Why I Teach
I started this journey because art is therapy. I mess up backgrounds, I struggle with proportions, and sometimes I get frustrated. But that is the process. When I teach, I share the mistakes along with the wins. Whether you want to learn the basics of shading, figure out Anime character drawing, or master digital art, we will go at your pace. No pressure, just progress.
Vishal
Hey, I am Vishal. I am just a regular guy who loves turning ideas into art after my 9-to-5. I do not have a polished studio, just a desk where I experiment, learn, and teach whatever I have picked up along the way.
