A Peek Into My Studio and Creative Process
From messy paint palettes on my balcony to preparing for art events, here is a look at how I create.
A quiet Wednesday afternoon spent painting on my balcony with my cat for company. I love romanticizing these small, peaceful moments in my day.
A typical evening for me, planning out projects and getting lost in my work. My little desk is my creative sanctuary.
A snapshot of my workspace, with my iPad, sketchbook, and painting supplies all ready to go for the next project.
Sometimes I take my work outside to the balcony for some fresh air. My dog always keeps a watchful eye on the neighborhood while I paint.
Prepping my palette with fresh acrylics. I love the moment of squeezing out the colors before starting a new painting session.
A short clip of me working on the underpainting for a new piece. This is the foundational stage where I block in the main shapes and shadows.
I was so excited to get my first printed catalogues. It’s an amazing feeling to see my digital illustrations and pet portraits in a physical format.
About this collection
You might wonder why my creative process takes time, and the reason is simple: I do not use AI or shortcuts. Every piece I create, whether it is a digital illustration on my iPad or an acrylic painting on canvas, involves manual work. I often paint on my balcony in Bangalore to make the most of the natural light, and my cat usually supervises the messy palettes and brushwork.
When you commission a piece or purchase a print from me, you are getting something that has lived on my desk for days. I balance two distinct ways of working: digital illustrations created on Procreate, which form the base for my framed prints and merchandise, and traditional acrylic painting on stretched canvas for my original artworks.
My studio is quite literally my home. Because I handle everything—from the initial rough sketch to the final varnishing, signing, and packing—each item comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and the assurance that it was made by human hands. I believe art should be personal, which is why I prefer capturing stories in custom pet portraits or finding inspiration in the plants and animals around my home in Bangalore. If you see a piece that speaks to you, or if you have a specific story you want to turn into art, know that it will be handled with the same slow, thoughtful approach I use for my own personal projects. I am currently open for commissions and ship my art across India.
