A look at the work that defines my practice—from staging classical productions across India and Europe to managing festivals at The Punyah Theatre in Bangalore.

This poster for our production "Abha" at Teatro Astra in Torino, Italy, captures the scale and artistry we bring to international stages. Curating events like this allows us to share the rich narrative of the Ramayana through Bharatanatyam with a global audience.

The Punyah Dance Festival is my passion project, a space for artists and art lovers to connect. This poster announces our third edition, a two-day immersive experience at Bangalore's iconic Ravindra Kalakshetra, filled with performances, workshops, and discussions.

The Punyah Theatre is our home base, an intimate venue where we host powerful productions like "Nagamandala". This poster reflects the dramatic and atmospheric performances we curate, providing a platform for both our own company and other talented artists.

This is the energy of the Punyah Dance Festival. A moment of pure joy and collaborative spirit on stage, showcasing a group performance under dramatic lighting. It's in these moments of shared artistry that the festival truly comes alive.

Taking our art to new audiences is a vital part of my work. This poster announces our USA tour, where we premiered our new production "Astithva" and conducted intensive workshops, connecting with the Indian classical dance community abroad.

Hosting masters like Guru Smt. Sucheta Chapekar for talks at The Punyah Theatre is a profound honor. These "Antarang" sessions are about understanding the world of legendary artists, bridging generations and preserving the depth of our traditions.

A personal invitation to the third edition of the Punyah Dance Festival. I believe in direct communication, sharing details about the full-day passes and the variety of events you can experience, from workshops to performances. We have very few seats open to the public, so I encourage everyone to book soon.

About this collection

When I organize an event or a production, I am not just looking at the stage, I am looking at the room. Whether it is an intimate solo recital at my Black Box studio in NRI Layout or a two-day festival at Ravindra Kalakshetra, the goal is to bridge the gap between the performer and the audience. You bring the fire, and I will make sure the technical setup, lighting, and ticketing support are ready to handle it.

My approach to event management is rooted in the reality of the arts. It is rarely smooth, but it is always rewarding. If you have been looking through these images, you have seen the result of that labor—from our international tours in places like Torino to the chaotic, joyful energy of the Punyah Dance Festival.

I offer two primary ways to collaborate:

  1. The Punyah Theatre (Black Box Hosting): If you need a space that works, my venue in NRI Layout is designed for it. It is an 80-seater studio setup that covers everything you need: technical staffing, lighting rigs, and ticketing support via BookMyShow. It is ideal for solo recitals or small experimental works. This costs between ₹20,000 and ₹28,000 per event slot.

  2. Festival and Event Direction: For larger projects, I handle the artistic direction and on-ground execution. This covers everything from artist booking and stage management to visual identity and volunteer coordination. These projects are more involved, typically running between ₹1,80,000 and ₹2,50,000 for a two-day festival, depending on the scale.

My team and I are not here to act as vendors. We are partners who understand the specific needs of Indian classical dance. We know that the audience expects more than just a performance—they expect an experience. We focus on the details, like the audio setup for a live orchestra or the flow of a workshop, so you can focus on your art.

I am Parshwanath. I believe in making art with joy, fire, and a stubborn heart. I built The Punyah Theatre because I got tired of waiting for other people to give me a stage, and now, I make it my business to help others find theirs.
