This is the heart of what I do: creating and curating unforgettable artistic experiences. From our flagship Punyah Dance Festival to international tours and intimate shows at The Punyah Theatre, my focus is on building a stage for artists and a vibrant community for audiences. Here is a glimpse into the events I help bring to life.
The Punyah Dance Festival: A Celebration of Art
This is my flagship event, a multi-day festival where artists and audiences connect. We feature everything from premieres and solo recitals in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Odissi to panel discussions, workshops, and spontaneous jam sessions.
The Punyah Theatre: Our Home for the Arts
This is our creative hub in Bangalore, a space I built for artists to experiment and showcase their work. We host everything from our own company's productions to intimate solo recitals, lec-dems, and festivals, often with options for live-streaming.
International Stages & Special Collaborations
We believe art has no borders, and I actively seek opportunities to collaborate and take our productions to a global audience. This includes curated tours across Europe and the USA, as well as special festival appearances and collaborative productions.
Nartaka Festival: Celebrating Male Dancers
In association with Natyanjali, we host the Nartaka Festival at The Punyah Theatre, a unique platform dedicated to celebrating the male energy in Indian classical arts. The festival features solo recitals, lec-dems, and premieres by both emerging and established male artists.
Artist Development & Showcase
A core part of my mission is to provide a platform for other artists to grow and present their work. I curate and direct new productions for my students and peers, creating opportunities for them to connect with audiences.
The Community & The Chaos
Curation is more than just schedules and stages; it's about the people, the energy, and even the occasional *apashakunam*. This is a glimpse into the community we build, the artists we support, and the fun we have along the way.
