About A Glimpse of Our Studio
This space is where we handle everything from initial wedging to the final firing. When you walk in, you will notice the quiet, which we keep intentional. We designed this studio as a sanctuary for anyone looking to step away from the city noise and actually connect with the clay, rather than just watching a demonstration.
Our studio in Nagashetty Halli is more than just a classroom. It is a working ceramic space that reflects the slow, meditative nature of what we do. From the sunlight that patterns across our worktables to the constant hum of the electric wheels, every element here is part of the creative process.
Why the Studio Environment Matters
Pottery is a physical, sensory experience. You need to feel the temperature of the clay, hear the difference between a pot that is centered and one that is off-balance, and have the physical space to move. We intentionally keep our studio setup open and communal. Whether you are signing up for our 12-session intensive wheel throwing course or a one-off Clayplay session, you are working in the same environment where we create our own handmade ceramic tableware and decor.
What You Will Find Here
- Small Batches: We cap our classes at 6 people. This isn't just about comfort; it is about ensuring you get actual feedback on your hand-building or wheel techniques.
- Open Tools: We provide everything from aprons to carving instruments. You do not need to bring anything except an interest in learning.
- The Process: You can see our glazing and firing areas, giving you a glimpse into the stages your work goes through after the class ends.
Finding Your Calm
Many people come to us simply to breathe. If you are looking for pottery classes in North Bangalore, you will find that our space encourages you to slow down. It is not about making a perfect piece on your first try; it is about learning the rhythm of the wheel and the patience required for working with clay. If you want to see our pieces in person, fix a time to visit—we would love to show you around our shop area.
Oriri Studio
