Master the Snatch and Clean & Jerk in Bengaluru
We break down the world's most technical lifts into simple, actionable steps. No shortcuts, just better movement quality in the heart of Hennur.
The result of consistent practice. This athlete is demonstrating a smooth clean and jerk, showing how 'no feet' drills translate to better stability and power in the full movement.
A clean in progress. We look for that powerful 'jump and punch' under the bar, keeping the movement efficient and vertical.
From power clean to squat clean. We worked with this athlete to overcome the habit of catching high, focusing on building the confidence to get under the bar for a full, deep squat clean.
Analyzing the first pull of the snatch. We teach athletes to stay over the bar until the mid-thigh, preventing any rocking back that can disrupt the bar's path.
A complex focusing on the clean. We use drills like this to isolate and strengthen specific parts of the lift, addressing weak links in an athlete's technique.
Teaching the snatch to a group. Even in a class setting, we emphasize individual patience and pursuing excellence in form over rushing the movement.
Working at a specific RPE, or Rate of Perceived Exertion. This allows athletes to train effectively based on how they feel that day, ensuring quality reps and preventing overtraining.
About Olympic Weightlifting Deep Dive
We don't chase heavy numbers before your bar path is efficient. If you are catching the bar high or struggling with your snatch setup, we start by isolating the first pull to ensure you aren't rocking back and ruining your momentum, regardless of the load on the bar.
Olympic weightlifting is a game of patience and precision. At our Hennur facility, we don't dump a dictionary of cues on you while you are under the bar. We triage the movement. We use drills like 'no feet' cleans to force stability and isolate specific phases of the lift. Whether you are battling a habit of catching high or trying to perfect your squat clean, we break the movement down into manageable parts.
Training here is about understanding your Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE). Some days we push for load, while other sessions are strictly about dialing back to focus on mechanics because quality reps build the consistency that leads to real strength gains. We record your lifts, review the playback together, and make the micro-adjustments necessary to fix your technique. We are not just lifting, we are learning the craft of the snatch and clean and jerk in a supportive, gritty environment.
