This is where the real work happens. No fancy gym, just the sand, the sea, and the grind. I'm holding pads for a student during a beach boxing session, focusing on footwork and power in an unstable environment. This isn't just a workout; it's building a warrior mindset.
Our Andaman Islands retreat is a full-spectrum adventure. This video gives you a glimpse of what to expect: from earning your PADI scuba certification in clear waters to intensive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training on the beach and guided kayaking through the mangroves. We handle the logistics, you just show up ready to train.
This is the result of a hard day's work. A team forged by shared effort on the sands of the Udupi coast. We mix grappling drills with surfing, pushing our limits and then celebrating the progress together. Everyone, from beginners to advanced practitioners, is part of the crew.
Jiu-Jitsu on the beach is a different beast. Here, two of our members are rolling on the sand, learning to adapt their grappling techniques to an unpredictable surface. This kind of training builds real, functional strength and resilience that you can't find on the mats alone.

Rolling on sand in Udupi or drilling MMA in the Andaman Islands changes everything. You aren't just working your muscles here. Beyond the Gym
I started OctaFit because the real work happens when you take discipline out into the world. A flat mat is great for technique, but nature forces you to adapt. My retreats are not chill holiday packages. They are immersive experiences designed to build mental and physical resilience.
Where We Train
- Andaman Islands: We base ourselves in Havelock for a mix of PADI scuba diving certification and intensive martial arts. You get the discipline of the dojo balanced with the raw challenge of ocean dives and wildlife treks.
- Udupi Coast: This is where we combine surfing lessons with No Gi Jiu-Jitsu. The sand is a different kind of opponent, requiring better balance and core stability than you would need in a standard gym.
The OctaFit Philosophy
It does not matter if you are a pro fighter or a total beginner. Out here, everyone is a teammate. We train, we push boundaries, and we come back changed. My goal is to strip away the noise so you can focus on functional strength and mental clarity. Expect to be uncomfortable, expect to learn, and expect to work. This is the grind, and we do it together.
What You Need to Know
We keep groups small to ensure personal coaching for every participant. Logistics are handled, so you can focus entirely on the training. If you are looking for a lazy pool day, this is not the place for you. But if you want to test your limits and evolve, you will fit right in.
