Can Benet: A Mediterranean Design Narrative in Ibiza

Working on Can Benet challenged us to harmonize the structural rigidity of traditional Mediterranean architecture with our own penchant for soft, organic forms. The living space, anchored by a suspended fireplace, creates a focal point that encourages conversation and stillness, proving that even a vast, open layout can feel intimate.

Our approach to Can Benet was deeply rooted in the concept of art-infused tranquility. By collaborating with Gabriela Puig Soleille, we sought to capture the spirit of Ibiza, where the light changes everything, and ground it in our precise, thoughtful design language.

We focused on a palette of olive greens and earthy textures to mirror the surrounding landscape. The choice of materials was deliberate, using dark wood ceilings that ground the room, and arched doorways that offer a nod to classical structures while maintaining a modern flow. A key element in this residence is the use of movement, exemplified by the kinetic light sculpture above the dining area. It adds a layer of artistry that complements the static, grounded furniture. We believe luxury is not just about expensive finishes, it is about how a space makes you breathe. In this villa, every partition and every fixture, from the circular-backed chairs to the curved silhouettes, was selected to create a seamless, cohesive narrative. This project reflects our capacity to translate our design philosophy into a global context, maintaining our standards of craftsmanship regardless of the location.
