My Food Journey: Homemade Pickles & Tasting Sessions
At 56, I started Niwala to share the food I grew up with. Everything here is made by me, with patience and absolutely no preservatives—just honest, simple flavours.
Come, I want to show you my stall. I have all my pickles and chutneys ready for you to taste. There is no pressure to buy, just come, have a chat, and try some real, homemade flavors. I am sure they will tickle your taste buds.
It makes me so happy to hear what you think of my food. This lovely customer shares her thoughts on my homemade, organic pickles. She especially loved the Lehsun Mirchi achaar and the Aam ki Meethi chutney, all made without any preservatives.
Here is a look at my current menu of handmade jams, chutneys, and achaars. I make everything in small batches with seasonal ingredients, so you always get the freshest taste. You can find everything from classic Aam ka Achaar to my special Pineapple Jam.
This is a little glimpse of how I set up for at-home tasting parties in Noida. I bring the food, the fun, and even custom photo frames for your pictures. It is a wonderful way to gather with friends for a flavorful afternoon.
This is the Aam ka Achaar that started it all, the first recipe my mother taught me. Served here with some crispy mathri, it is a classic Banarasi style pickle that is a staple in my home and I hope it becomes one in yours too.
I feel so much joy seeing my pickles travel and become a part of your meals. This is a collection of happy moments shared by customers, from gift hampers to enjoying my Ghissu Aam ka Achaar all the way in Washington, USA.
Let me introduce you to my Pili Sarson ki Chutney, a special recipe from Bihar. It is a versatile, multi-purpose chutney that works as a better, healthier replacement for store-bought mustard sauce on pizza or pasta, and is of course delicious with Indian food.
This was my biggest stall yet, and my heart was so full. Here I am with my family, ready to welcome everyone for a tasting. Setting up at melas across Delhi-NCR is my favorite way to meet you all in person.
About Featured
If you are curious about how I turn seasonal fruits into jams or raw mangoes into pickles, come over to my home in Noida for a tasting. It is a casual, hour-long session where you can try over twenty varieties, paired with crackers and mathris, so you can taste exactly what you like before you buy.
How It All Started
I never planned to be a business owner, but at 56, I decided it was never too late to follow a dream. I wanted to see that sparkle in someone's eyes when they taste food made with genuine care. For me, cooking is an art where simplicity is perfection. My kitchen in Noida is where I create everything from classic Banarasi-style Aam ka Achaar (mango pickle) to experimental Pili Sarson ki Chutney.
My Philosophy: Maa Ke Haath Ka Swaad
You will find no artificial ingredients or preservatives in my jars. When I say homemade, I mean it. I source fresh ingredients and make everything in small batches, ensuring every bite carries the 'maa ke haath ka swaad' (mother's taste) feeling.
- Pickles: Over 20 varieties including Bharwan Mirchi, Lehsun Mirchi, and Hing ka Achaar.
- Jams & Chutneys: Made with real fruit and natural sweeteners. My Amrud ki Chutney and Pineapple Saffron jam are favorites among regulars.
- Tasting Experiences: Whether you are visiting my home in Noida or finding me at a local Delhi-NCR mela, I want you to have fun. Taste, gossip, and share a laugh—it is never just about buying a product.
Can We Meet?
Yes! I host private tasting sessions where I share stories about my traditional recipes. It is a 90-minute experience with hot parathas, ginger chai, and a guided tour of my flavors. If you prefer a quick stop, keep an eye on my schedule for local bazaars across Delhi-NCR. Come say hi, try a spoonful of something spicy or sweet, and if you like it, take a jar home.
