Why I Do What I Do
At 56, I finally turned my passion for cooking into Niwala by Mallika. For me, ek niwala (one bite) of good food can make your day better. I make every jar myself, and let’s be honest - I’m happiest when you enjoy my food.
What’s In My Kitchen
My homemade Indian pickles have real family recipes behind them. The sun-cooked mango pickle is my mom’s legacy, aged for months. I also make Mix Veg Achaar, Ghissu Aam Chana, spicy Hari Mirchi (both regular and teekha-meetha), plus Hing ka Achaar - all small batch, so every jar is fresh.
Chutneys here are all about unique, traditional flavours. Amrud ki chutney packs that thele wala swaad (street-style taste), while Pilli Sarson is a fiery Bihari mustard favourite. My classic Aam ki Mithi chutney uses organic gudd (jaggery).
Jams are my latest adventure. I like to experiment - think Spiced Pears with healthy chia seed jam, Pineapple with kesar, and my tangy Carrot Marmalade.
What Matters To Me
Sab kuch bilkul ghar jaisa (everything just like home). No chemicals or shortcuts. I use fresh, often organic ingredients. Simple, honest, pure.

My Story
Namaste, I'm Mallika. You know, life kept me moving, but dreams toh rukte nahi (dreams never stop). At 56, I finally started Niwala - my own little food journey. My kitchen is where I go crazy with recipes - from Gulab Jamun cake for mom to raspberry lemon cupcakes for my granddaughter. Every dish has a bit of my family's story in it. I believe food is love, and sharing it is my way of spreading happiness.

Homemade Pickles, Jams & Bakes - I make sun-cooked mango pickle, Carrot Marmalade, jams, street-style guava chutney, and preservative-free walnut chocolate fudge.
