Where messy hands mean happy hearts. We help children find their own rhythm through art, one brushstroke at a time.

A collage showcasing the diverse art forms we teach, including Pichwai lotus painting, Madhubani art, texture painting, block printing, and minimal painting. Our workshops are a journey through different artistic styles and techniques.

A student deeply focused on creating intricate doodle art. Doodling is a powerful tool for improving focus, expressing emotions, and sparking imagination. We encourage every child to explore and dream beyond the lines.

A young boy proudly displays his colorful artwork created in our class. Our art sessions are designed to nurture every child's creativity, helping them develop new skills and find joy in their own unique expression.

This beautiful guitar drawing, blending intricate mandala patterns with floral designs, shows the progress from a pencil sketch to a finished piece. It's a wonderful example of the detailed and imaginative work our students create.

A collection of proud students holding up their finished paintings. From vibrant lotus art to meaningful "Save Water" posters, each piece reflects the unique creativity and skill nurtured in our classes.

From a simple outline to a vibrant, finished piece, this video shows the process of creating a fun watermelon artwork. Our classes guide students step-by-step, making art accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

About The Art & Craft Corner

In our art sessions, we do not chase a perfectly straight line or a symmetrical sketch. We focus on the process, like learning to blend oil pastels or mastering the patience required for a Madhubani pattern. When a student comes to us with a messy page, we see progress, not a mistake.

Our approach to art is grounded in the Wabi-Sabi philosophy, which finds beauty in the imperfect. We believe that when a child is not afraid to make a mark or cross out a line, they are learning to think for themselves.

What we cover

We work with small batches of 5 to 8 students, ensuring every child gets individual correction. Our sessions cover a wide spectrum of creative expression:

  • Traditional Art: Exploring intricate details in Madhubani, Pichwai, and block printing techniques.
  • Modern Creativity: Doodle art and texture painting to improve focus and fine motor skills.
  • Skill Building: Practical lessons in sketching, oil pastels, watercolours, and pencil shading.

The Workshop Experience

Every session is hands-on. We provide all the necessary stationery, from standard student-grade coloring sets to specialized craft materials like clay and decorative embellishments. Whether it is origami or complex clay modelling, the goal is not to produce a store-bought masterpiece, but to guide the child through the steps of creation. Students take home their completed worksheets or crafts, serving as physical reminders of their ability to build something from scratch.

Classes are held at our Rajouri Garden centre, providing a dedicated space for children to step away from the pressure of textbooks and explore their imagination.

I am Nidhi. I believe art is not just about making a pretty picture, it is about giving a child the courage to be themselves. At NLI, we create a space where your child learns to turn a blank paper into a story, helping them find their own unique voice in the process.
