About Playful Phonics & Brain Gym
We don't teach reading through endless drills. Instead, we use sand trays, tactile crafts, and specific 'Brain Gym' movements to help children cross the midline and strengthen their mind-body connection. This isn't just about finishing the alphabet—it's about making sure your child feels confident enough to pick up any book and start reading on their own.
At Nidhi Learning Institute, we believe that for a young child, the body and the brain are linked. Our phonics approach isn't a lecture; it's an adventure. When a child learns the sound of 'P' by forming it with clay or tracing it in sand, they don't just memorize the letter—they feel it.
Why Phonics and Brain Gym Together?
Many parents come to me worried that their child has a short attention span. Often, they just need to move. Our Brain Gym exercises are simple, purposeful activities that integrate the left and right hemispheres of the brain. When we pair these movements with our phonics curriculum, children stop fighting the process of learning to read.
What Happens in a Session:
- Multi-Sensory Input: We use sound associations, art, and tactile materials so that every type of learner finds their footing.
- Blending & Segmenting: We play with sounds like building blocks, making the transition from single letters to whole words effortless.
- Cognitive Foundation: The Brain Gym element helps children build the focus they need for school, not just for today's lesson, but for the years ahead.
Whether you join us in Rajouri Garden or online, my goal is to give your child the 'breathing space' to fail, learn, and grow. We keep our batches small, usually 5 to 8 students, so I can ensure every child is actually engaged, not just sitting in a row waiting for the class to end. If you want your child to love reading rather than fear it, let's talk.
Nidhi Longani
I’m Nidhi, and I’ve seen too many kids lose their spark because of endless academic drills. At my institute in Rajouri Garden, I focus on building a foundation that lasts—using play to teach phonics and movement to sharpen the mind, because a happy child is a learning child.
