At NLI, festivals are more than just holidays. They are a time for our students to connect with tradition, express their creativity through crafts, and celebrate together in a space that feels like home.

A look back at our vibrant Diwali workshop, filled with musical chairs, a traditional dress showdown, Diya making, dancing, and delicious treats. It was an unforgettable fusion of fun, learning, and celebration.

A colorful glimpse into our Holi celebration. The entrance is decorated with balloons, and the children are full of excitement and joy. We love creating a festive and inclusive atmosphere for our students.

The decorations for our Holi celebration, featuring a handmade Holika Dahan effigy and a colorful backdrop created by the students. Our celebrations are always a hands-on, creative experience.

For Basant Panchami, our students learn about the festival's significance, from worshipping Maa Saraswati to the importance of the color yellow. We celebrate by sharing knowledge and seeking blessings together.

Our little students proudly showing off the Rakhis they made. Our Raksha Bandhan celebration is a time for creativity, learning about sibling bonds, and sharing sweet treats.

"Dad, you are as strong as Hulk." Our students share heartfelt messages for their fathers on Father's Day. We also celebrated with fun activities like temporary tattoos, making the day special for all the heroes.

About Festival Celebrations at NLI

We don't just observe festivals, we build them. Whether it is creating a handmade Holika Dahan effigy for Holi, crafting personalized rakhis for our sibling bond workshops, or learning the significance of the color yellow on Basant Panchami, every celebration is a hands-on experience. This helps children understand the roots of our culture while they get their hands messy and create memories.

For me, festivals are the perfect classroom. When we bring these celebrations into our learning space at Rajouri Garden, it is not just about the decorations or the treats. It is about slowing down and finding meaning in our traditions.

During our Diwali workshop, we mix the excitement of musical chairs and dance parties with conversations about why we celebrate the festival of lights. When we prepare for Basant Panchami, we sit together to learn about the significance of the season and why we seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, often reciting mantras that connect the kids to their heritage.

Our approach is always grounded in Wabi-Sabi, which means we celebrate the imperfections in the crafts the children make. If a diya is painted unevenly or a rakhi has a loose thread, we see that as part of the child's unique journey. These festival sessions are designed to foster social confidence, improve fine motor skills through art, and build a sense of community. We want every child who walks through our doors to feel like they belong to a larger family, one that values their presence over perfection. If you want your child to experience learning that is as colourful as these celebrations, come join us.
