At NMFA, our belt system, covering both Kyu ranks in Karate and Gup ranks in Taekwondo, serves as a map for every student’s journey. Progress starts when a student walks through our doors in Malleshpalya, regardless of their experience level. We focus on consistent training, whether it is our standard three-day-a-week program or the intensive six-day competition track. Each test evaluates not just technical accuracy in forms and stances, but the composure a student displays under the eyes of their instructors. I keep the criteria clear so parents and students understand exactly what is required for each promotion. This structure helps children as young as four learn that hard work produces visible results. We celebrate every advancement equally, whether it is a first yellow belt or an advanced green belt, because the goal is developing the character to keep moving forward.
