About Nava Durga: The Nine Forms of Devi
Our 'Nava Durga' performance is designed as a complete production, not just a dance set. We bring professional costumes, traditional temple jewelry, and a coordinated ensemble of dancers who have rehearsed these mythological roles to move as one. You do not need to manage the choreography or timing—we arrive with our production team ready to turn your event stage into a devotional space.
This performance dives into the nine facets of the Goddess, capturing the shift from serene grace to fierce power. Since 2016, my school, Natesha Nrithyalaya, has refined this production to ensure it fits perfectly into cultural festivals, temple events, or private celebrations.
We handle the technical side so you can focus on the audience experience. Our troupe comes equipped with studio-mastered narrative tracks, or if you prefer a live experience, we can integrate with our professional orchestra. Because we bring our own lighting and staging cues, the transition between the nine forms of Devi feels seamless and impactful.
Whether you are hosting a Navaratri event or a formal classical function, this show is built for scale. We bring a cast of 10 to 15 dancers, ensuring the stage is filled with the vibrant color and disciplined energy that traditional Bharatanatyam demands. My students treat every performance as 'sadhana', meaning they approach the movements with the same focus they would in a temple. We are based in Bangalore and travel throughout the city to bring this art form to your stage.
Natesha Nrithyalaya
I am Nayana, and for me, dance is a form of 'sadhana'—a practice rooted in deep devotion. My school, Natesha Nrithyalaya, pours that same spirit into our 'Nava Durga' production, transforming ancient mythology into a vibrant stage experience that resonates with audiences.
