Parent-Child Swim Lessons in Mumbai Pools
These sessions are all about building trust and water confidence together. Whether you are a swimmer or not, I guide you through every splash and giggle in the comfort of your own home pool.

About this collection
You do not need to be a swimmer to join these sessions. The pools we use are shallow enough for you to stand comfortably, and my role is to teach you how to hold, support, and guide your little one. You are not just watching from the deck, you are the primary support system, making every bubble-blowing exercise or 'monkey walk' a moment of shared discovery.
Building Confidence Together
Starting your swimming journey as a parent-child team changes everything. It removes the pressure that kids often feel in traditional lessons and replaces it with the security of your arms. My goal is to transform the water from a place of mystery into a playground for your baby.
Why This Approach Works
- No Swimming Skills Required: You don't need to know how to swim. We stay in shallow areas, and I provide hands-on training on how to hold your baby safely and confidently.
- Play-Based Learning: We use games, rhymes like 'Row, Row, Row Your Boat', and sensory play to teach critical skills. Your baby learns breath control and floating because they are having fun, not because they are following a rigid drill.
- AUSTSWIM Certified Safety: As India's first AUSTSWIM certified instructor, safety is my non-negotiable foundation. We focus on survival skills like 'turn and grab the wall' from the very first sessions.
Practical Details for Your First Session
- Preparation: A clean, accessible home or building pool (ideally 30°C - 32°C) is all we need.
- Gear: Your baby must wear a swim diaper and a wetsuit to stay warm, as they don't have the same body fat as adults. Wearing a T-shirt over your own swimsuit helps your baby grip you securely, which makes them feel much safer.
- The Reality: Sometimes babies swallow water, cry, or just want to cuddle. That is completely normal. We stay calm, we take a break, and we carry on. There is no rush, only progress at your child’s own pace.
Nappy Nemo
I’m Prateeksha, and when I’m not coaching, I’m usually in the pool with my own son, Azai. I started teaching because I know the exact mix of excitement and worry you feel as a parent, and I’m here to make sure your first dips are filled with giggles, not tears.
