About Private Swim Lessons for Kids
Learning to swim is a journey, not a race. I see every lesson as a chance for kids to build confidence, one splash at a time. As a mom myself, I get how big a deal it is when a child swims on their own for the first time - their face says it all.
What Lessons Feel Like
We play, we sing, we get silly. The pool turns into a playground with games like underwater hide-and-seek, diving for toys, and goofy moves like monkey walks and spidey jumps. Trust me, bachche ko mazaa aata hai (kids love it). When they're having fun, they learn without even noticing.
Building Real Skills
Every session is planned for your child, focusing on basics like breath control (think blowing bubbles), kicking straight, floating on the back, and learning good arm pulls. These are the building blocks for beginner swimming techniques for kids. The fun stuff hides a lot of skill-building.
Your Pool, Your People
I teach in Mumbai, and I come to you. Lessons happen in your own home or building pool. Choose what fits - one-on-one, small group, or parent-child swim classes (highly recommend for babies and toddlers). You don’t need to know swimming as a parent - just bring positive energy.
Safety Comes First
Water safety for toddlers is always top of my mind. Every lesson includes simple survival skills like pop-up breathing. I never skip reminders about keeping a close watch on kids near water.
For Anxious Parents
Kids might cry or get cranky, especially early on. No stress - I keep it gentle but steady. I use choices and little tricks to help kids feel in control. If you’re worried about swimming in winter or ear infections, I’ll guide you through - from wetsuits to drying ears, we keep things comfortable.

My Story
Hey, I’m Prateeksha – pool life is kinda my thing. I’m a swim coach, but first, I’m Azai’s mom (and Spika’s, our dog). Parenting changed how I teach, trust me, I get all the worries. Being India’s first Australian Swim Institute certified instructor, safety’s a big deal for me. But honestly, nothing beats seeing a kid float solo for the first time. When I’m not teaching, I’m usually in a pool with my family, soaking up those moments. Swimming is my world, and I love sharing it.
My Work
Private swimming lessons at your home pool - I teach babies (4 months+), kids, adults too, right in your own Mumbai pool.
Parent-child swim classes - You and your little one join in together. No need to swim, just stand and splash!
Fun, playful learning - Rhymes, games, monkey walks, pancake flips – kids learn best when they’re having fun.
Safety first, always - Australian Swim Institute certified, I focus on safe baby swimming and confidence-building.
Go at your child’s pace - Some days are slow, some are splashy. We celebrate every tiny win, no rush.
