Acro Yoga Workshops for Couples
Ready to trade the usual date night for something that builds actual connection? Join us to fly, base, and laugh your way through foundational acro yoga in a safe, supportive environment.
This partner yoga challenge looks incredible, and it's totally achievable. The base holds a strong one legged downward dog while the flyer stands on their back, extending into a beautiful standing split. It’s a fantastic pose for building mutual trust and stability.
The Flying Pigeon pose is a beautiful acro yoga asana that requires balance from the flyer and strength from the base. We teach you how to enter this pose safely, focusing on getting comfortable with floating before trying to straighten the legs. It’s a rewarding challenge to work towards.
Here we are working on a fun acro yoga inversion where the flyer moves into a handstand supported by the base's hands and feet. Every pose starts with a bit of wobbling and figuring things out, which is why we always ask if you want to see the behind the scenes.
This is a fun, dynamic acro yoga flow that requires core strength and coordination from both partners. We move through a sequence of poses that transition smoothly from one to the next. It’s a great way to build non verbal communication with your partner.
About Acro Yoga: Learn to Fly
A lot of people think you need to be a gymnast to try acro yoga, but here is the reality: it is more about physics than fitness. We focus on 'bone stacking'—a technique where you align your joints so your skeleton takes the weight, not your muscles. It makes the poses feel surprisingly light and sustainable, even if you are just starting out.
How Our Workshops Work
We keep our weekend sessions in Mumbai and Bengaluru intimate, with a batch size of 6 to 12 couples. This isn't a lecture; it is a 2-hour interactive workshop where everyone plays all three roles: Base, Flyer, and Spotter.
- The Base: You learn how to use your legs to support your partner, focusing on stability and grounding.
- The Flyer: You learn to trust and engage your core, finding balance in the air.
- The Spotter: This is the most crucial role. We teach you how to keep your partner safe, ensuring that if a pose wobbles, everyone lands comfortably.
Why We Embrace the 'Fails'
If you see a video of us practicing and we are laughing, it is because we probably just fell out of a pose. We believe that acro yoga is a journey, not a destination. Whether you are working on the Front Bird or trying to hold a supported handstand, the 'fail' is where the connection happens. It breaks the ice, removes the pressure to be perfect, and helps you communicate better with your partner.
What to Expect
We provide a fail-friendly space. We don't care about perfect asanas; we care about the effort and the shared experience. You will leave with a few sore muscles, definitely, but also a better understanding of how to communicate non-verbally with your partner.
If you are nervous about your fitness level, don't be. You don't need to be a pro to get started. We take it step by step, keeping things super chill and accessible for beginners and intermediate practitioners alike.
