Partner & Couples Yoga Classes for Connection
Yoga is better when shared. Whether you are aiming for a synchronized flow or a playful acro-challenge, my classes help you build trust and laughter with your partner.
Practicing yoga with your spouse is a must, and here's why. It increases intimacy, deepens your emotional bond, and adds some quality time to your busy schedules. Plus, it’s a healthy and fun activity you can do together from home.
This partner pose is a beautiful blend of strength and flexibility. It's a great example of how acro yoga requires both partners to work together to find balance. Give it a try with a friend and see what you can create.
We saw this partner challenge online and just had to try it. It’s a game of holding on and letting go, trusting your partner completely. We had a few wobbly attempts, but we got there in the end. Follow for more fun challenges.
This is the reality of acro yoga. It starts with focus and intention, but more often than not, it ends in laughter and a piggyback ride. It’s all about the fun of the process.
About Partner & Couples Yoga
Here, perfection takes a backseat to the process. You will wobble and you might even flop during an acro-balance, but that is the point. It is in the falling and getting back up together that you actually build the trust and communication you are looking for.
Beyond the Solo Mat
Partner yoga is about moving past your individual practice and syncing your breath with someone else. Whether you are a couple looking for quality time or friends wanting to try something new, my sessions focus on creating a space where you feel safe to try and fail.
What You Will Actually Do
- Acro Yoga Basics: We start with trust-building drills. You learn to 'base' and 'fly' with hands-on spotting to ensure safety. It is not about the final pose; it is about the transition.
- Synchronized Flow: We work on Hatha and Vinyasa sequences where your movements mirror or complement your partner's. It helps you become hyper-aware of each other's physical space and energy.
- Playful Challenges: We incorporate lighthearted partner stretches and acro-moves that are designed to make you laugh. Yes, we have fun with it.
Who Is This For?
- Couples: If you are tired of the same old weekend routine, this is a way to recharge. It builds empathy, patience, and a deeper emotional bond.
- Friends: You don't need to be a romantic couple to join. Anyone willing to support another person's weight and balance is welcome.
The Logistics
I provide hands-on tactile adjustments during my in-person sessions in Bengaluru, which is crucial when learning partner poses to ensure alignment and safety. For online sessions, we focus on verbal cues and techniques you can practice safely in your own living room. No prior experience is required, just a willingness to be a little messy and a whole lot of curious.
Neelam Kumari
I’m Neelam, and my husband Santa and I are that couple who will try wild acro-moves and laugh when we flop. I bring that same playful, real-life energy to my partner yoga sessions, focusing on connection over magazine-perfect poses.
