About Kiln Firing Services
Kiln Firing - The Heartbeat of Pottery
I see the kiln as the place where clay dreams come alive. It's the final touch that transforms fragile clay into strong, lasting ceramics. I love watching the change from soft greenware to finished pottery - it's unpredictable, sometimes stressful, but always magical.
How I Fire Your Work
It's a bit like baking - your clay piece is the dough, and the kiln is our extra-hot oven. Without firing, clay pots would stay delicate, not good for chai or planting tulsi. Here's what I do:
- First, I bisque fire your piece. This makes it tough and porous, ready for glazing.
- Next, after glazing, I run the glaze firing - hotter and brighter. This is where colours pop. Sometimes the final look is a surprise - I’ve seen both "wah kya baat hai" (wow, amazing) and "arre yaar, thoda dull lag raha hai" (oh man, looks a bit dull).
The Studio Process
If you're in my workshop, your piece goes through all these steps: making, drying, bisque firing, glazing, and then the grand glaze firing. It takes a few weeks, not instant - no shortcut here, patience is key!
Firing for Fellow Potters
I mostly fire student work and our own studio ceramics. If you're an indie potter needing stoneware kiln firing, reach out. I’ll try to fit you in, depending on my kiln schedule. No promises, but I do help when I can.

My Story
Clay and me, we go way back. Making pottery just fills me up with joy, and sometimes, it’s all about emotions. Like that sgrafitto bowl I made for Sonu Rabbit—miss you, buddy. Every Ganesha festival, Alle Bappa Alle! I make my own idol, and it’s pure peace. Nine years running this studio, and watching our Ganesha idol making workshop become a big deal in the community—total proud moment. I love seeing folks shape memories from mud, together.
