About Custom Pottery Orders
Your Idea, My Clay
I find a lot of joy in turning someone’s idea into a real, tactile thing. Each piece I make is a mix of your story and my hands-on process. Whether you know exactly what you want or just have a Pinterest moodboard, I’m here to shape that vision into pottery you’ll actually use or love looking at.
What We Can Make
- Handmade custom mugs (I’m obsessed with comfy handles and double walls)
- Pasta and snack bowls for daily use or parties
- All sorts of vases - tiny bud vases to tall, dramatic ones
- Planters, including quirky animal shapes (ask me about the sheep planter!)
- Carved lanterns and tealight holders for a soft glow
- Personalized ceramic gifts for any occasion - birthdays, anniversaries, or just because
- Custom pieces for special moments, like proposal bowls or Diwali lamps
How I Work
- Wheel-thrown or hand-built, depending on what fits your idea best
- I love adding carved details or sgraffito (etching little illustrations or patterns)
- My glazes are usually inspired by nature - think sand, sea, or monsoon skies
- Pottery takes time - drying, firing, glazing, and sometimes waiting for the weather to behave! Usually, it’s about 2-3 weeks from idea to finished piece
Every piece is made slow and steady, so it feels special when it’s finally in your hands. If you want something with a bit of wabi-sabi (that natural, imperfect charm), or a totally polished look, just say. Your pottery, your story.

My Story
Hey, Ihalo Studio here. Pottery is my peace, my little escape. Nature’s everywhere in my work - leaves, textures, even the birds nesting in my studio (they really did!). Folks come in, get messy, and let their inner artist loose. I don’t take many custom orders, but once made a ramen bowl for a marriage proposal. That was something. My studio’s not just about clay, it’s about life happening all around.
