About Join a Workshop
In my studio, we don't just follow rigid instructions. When you join a wheel throwing or hand-building session, I’m right there beside you guiding your hands. You will leave with your own fired, food-safe creations, and we manage the entire kiln firing process for you—so all you need to bring is your curiosity.
Pottery is so much more than just making a mug or a bowl—it is a moment of peace in our busy city. I’ve been running Mud Effects here in Whitefield for nine years, and I have seen how transformative clay can be.
My Workshop Approach
Whether you are a total beginner or looking to refine your technique, we keep our batches small so everyone gets individual attention.
- Wheel Throwing: We focus on centering the clay and understanding the rhythm of the wheel. It takes patience, but it is incredibly rewarding.
- Hand-building: If you prefer a slower pace, we explore pinching, coiling, and slab techniques to build everything from quirky mugs to sculptural planters.
Seasonal & Community Gatherings
One of my absolute favorite times of year is our Ganesha idol-making workshop. Watching the community come together to shape their own deity from clay, right here in the studio, is deeply spiritual and fulfilling. It is an eco-friendly practice that connects us all.
The Practical Details
Everything you make gets processed through our studio kiln. We handle the drying, glazing, and high-fire process, which typically takes about 2-3 weeks to ensure the pieces are durable and food-safe. You will be notified as soon as your creations are ready for pickup. Whether you are planning a fun weekend outing, a corporate team-building session, or a quiet solo hobby, come with an open mind and leave with something you have crafted yourself.
