About Festive Decor: Lights & Incense Holders
Because I hand-carve every cutout, no two holders are exactly the same. You will notice my signature splash glazes or deep, rich colors pooled in the carved details, which look stunning when the candle flame dances inside. Since I double-fire every piece for strength in my kiln, these are meant to be cherished for many seasons to come, not just for one festival.
When you bring one of my ceramic tea light or dhoop holders home, you are getting something made with intention. I start with high-fire stoneware clay, which I find holds up beautifully under heat. For the tea light holders, I hand-carve floral, diamond, or star patterns so that when you place a candle inside, the light doesn't just sit there—it casts intricate, dancing shadows across your room.
If you are picking up a dhoop holder, I have designed the openings specifically to let the incense smoke curl out gracefully while keeping the ash contained. The glazes are where the real magic happens. I love experimenting with deep blues, olive greens, and iridescent finishes that catch the light from every angle.
Since everything is made by hand here in my Whitefield studio, please keep in mind that slight variations in color and shape are part of the charm. If you are looking for a specific color palette to match your festive home decor, just message me. I can often customize the glaze or the size if you are planning a larger festive setup. Each piece goes through two kiln firings at 1200 degrees, making them durable enough to handle daily use long after the festival season ends.
