Handmade Pottery and Custom Ceramic Art in Whitefield
A peek into my world of clay. Whether it is a daily coffee mug or a festival idol, every piece here is a story I have shaped with my own hands.
This is the most magical moment for me, seeing the Ganesha idol I sculpted find his place in a home, surrounded by love and prayers. Creating these eco-friendly clay idols is a spiritual journey I cherish every year.
I just love how these mugs turned out! Each one has its own little personality, from the wise owl to the cheerful little bird. These hand-painted ceramic mugs are perfect for your morning coffee and are sure to make you smile.
There is something so peaceful about the warm glow of a candle inside a handmade tea light holder. I designed this piece with intricate cutouts to cast beautiful shadows, creating a serene atmosphere for Diwali or any quiet evening.
I was so excited to create a full tableware set for a new matcha cafe. This large order included hand-pinched mugs with a green splash glaze, tea pourers, and whisker stands, all designed to give an organic, unique feel to their brand.
This piece is very close to my heart. I made this sgraffito shallow bowl in memory of my sweet pet rabbit, Sonu. Carving his likeness among the flowers was an emotional process, and it’s a reminder of how we can hold our loved ones in art.
This is where the magic begins. With a lump of clay and a spinning wheel, a simple pot can become anything. I love the feeling of shaping the clay, and this video shows the process of throwing a large vase, a skill that takes patience and love.
I really enjoyed painting these graceful koi fish onto a bottle vase. Using soft watercolors on the ceramic surface brings the design to life. This hand-painted vase is a unique piece of home decor that adds a touch of tranquility to any space.
I find so much joy in sculpting the human form. This clay sculpture of a dancing woman was about capturing a feeling of freedom and grace. It’s an unglazed stoneware piece that celebrates movement and form.
These little lidded jars are fresh from the kiln. I love the contrast between the glossy black lids and the hand-drawn bird illustrations on the raw clay. They are perfect for storing spices, trinkets, or just to admire on a shelf.
From plain white bisque to beautifully finished dinner plates. This video shows the satisfying process of painting the glaze in shades of pink and brown and the final, glossy result after the kiln works its magic.
About Featured
Every item you see here is a one-off. Because I hand-build and wheel-throw everything in my Whitefield studio, no two pieces are ever exactly the same. You might see a tiny kiln mark or a slight variation in the glaze, which is just part of the soul of handmade stoneware.
My studio is where the magic happens. From the quiet rhythm of the wheel to the final fire, I love turning raw clay into things that bring joy. This collection is a mix of the projects that keep me going.
What I love to create
- Custom Tableware: I have worked with cafes on splash-glaze mugs and created tea sets for homes. If you need a full dinner set or just a single, special cup, we can design the colours and finish together.
- Sgraffito & Illustration: This is my favourite way to tell stories. I carve portraits of pets or bird motifs directly into the clay. It is detailed work that turns a bowl or a vase into a memory.
- Ganesha Idols: Every year, sculpting Ganesha idols is the highlight of my calendar. I make them by hand from natural clay, and they bring such peace to my studio.
- Artistic Decor: From statement vases to intricate tea light holders, these pieces are about playing with form and light.
The Process
If you order a custom piece, please keep in mind that handmade ceramics take time. From the initial wheel throwing or hand-building, through the drying phase, glazing, and the double firing in the kiln, the process usually takes 2 to 3 weeks. It cannot be rushed, but I promise the result is worth the wait. Whether you are looking for a gift or something for your own home in Bengaluru, I am happy to chat about what you have in mind.
