Slow down, breathe, and find your calm at my rooftop studio. Whether you are looking for a unique weekend activity or a creative team-building session, I am here to guide you through the magic of working with clay.

This is what pure joy looks like. I had such a wonderful time with the creative team from Google. We host corporate team building workshops that help colleagues connect and unwind through the magic of pottery.

How about a pottery date? My studio is a perfect spot for couples and friends to try something new together. This is your sign to ditch the usual and create a shared memory with clay.

About this collection

Every session at my Whitefield rooftop studio is about letting go. Whether you are trying the potter's wheel for the first time or hand-building a mug, you do not need any prior experience. I will guide you through every step, from wedging the clay to shaping it, so you can simply focus on the calm that comes with working with your hands.

Pottery is more than just making plates or bowls. It is a way to hit pause on a busy life in Bengaluru. When you join a workshop at my studio, we start by forgetting about deadlines and just connecting with the clay.

What to Expect

For smaller groups or solo visitors, the potter's wheel is usually the highlight. It takes focus, but I will be right there with you to help center the clay and pull up the walls of your vessel. If you are here with a larger group, we focus on hand-building techniques like pinching and slab work. This allows everyone to sit together, chat, and create everything from nameplates to personalized coffee mugs.

The Process

Once you finish your piece, the work is not quite done. I handle all the post-processing myself. This includes the delicate drying and trimming stages, followed by the first bisque firing. I then apply a studio-choice glaze and put the pieces through a final high-temperature firing. This makes your creation food-safe and waterproof. It takes a few weeks, but it is worth the wait to hold something you made from scratch.

Why the Rooftop?

My studio is open-air and naturally ventilated. It is a simple, peaceful space where we watch the sun go down while working with mud. It is my happy place, and I hope it becomes yours for a few hours too.

I am Ritu, and I have been teaching pottery from my rooftop studio in Whitefield for nine years. I love helping people turn a simple lump of mud into something they can hold and use every day. It is pure joy for me to see my students leave with a smile and a creation they made themselves.
