Professional Kabaddi Training and Sports Rehabilitation in Gurugram
Namaskar. If you are serious about becoming a pro player, there are no shortcuts. Whether you are training for the mat or recovering from an injury, we focus on hard work, discipline, and the right technique to get you back in the game.
(Hero Media) To stay in the game, you must focus on the basics. I always teach my players that proper warm-ups and cool-downs are non-negotiable for injury prevention. Here, I am demonstrating dynamic and static stretching techniques that are crucial for every athlete to protect their body and prepare for the next session.
We build explosive power and prevent common lateral movement injuries with targeted drills. This video shows an athlete performing plyometric exercises, including tyre and box jumps, which are essential for developing the agility and strength needed on the kabaddi mat.
This is what a typical training session looks like, focusing on core strength and flexibility. In this group, we are doing PT exercises to improve reach, while also managing a player's specific post-surgery knee rehabilitation plan. Everyone gets the attention they need to grow stronger.
My services are for everyone, not just professional athletes. This video shows our first free health check-up camp at the Active Recovery Clinic, where we provided physiotherapy guidance for people dealing with back pain, joint aches, and stiffness.
It is always an honor to guide the next generation of coaches. Here I am at my clinic with a young coach who is starting his own grassroots academy. We discussed training methods and the importance of growing the sport of kabaddi together.
About Featured
Most academies just run drills, but we know kabaddi takes a massive toll on the body. Whether you are training for Pro Kabaddi or dealing with a persistent ligament sprain, my approach is the same: identify the root cause, fix your form, and build strength from the ground up. You will not find quick fixes here, just the honest, hard work required to keep you on the field and out of the clinic.
Our Approach to Kabaddi Conditioning
My academy in Sector 9, Gurugram, is built on the principle of 'mehnat' (hard work). We do not just teach you how to raid or defend; we teach you how to prepare your body for the rigors of the sport. Our training sessions incorporate specific plyometric drills, tyre jumps, and lateral movement exercises designed to build explosive power and reduce the risk of common kabaddi injuries.
Sports Injury Rehabilitation
Injuries are part of sports, but they do not have to end your career. At the Active Recovery Clinic, I work with both professional athletes and everyday people. We focus on:
- Root Cause Analysis: We don't just treat the pain; we look at why it happened—whether it is weak glutes, ankle instability, or poor posture during movement.
- Gradual Return to Play: For athletes, we create a step-by-step roadmap for returning to the mud or mat. We use electrotherapy (IFT, TENS), manual soft tissue release, and functional movement testing to ensure you are ready before you put yourself at risk again.
Why Discipline Matters
I have seen many talented players lose their way because they lacked focus. We combine physical conditioning with a disciplined lifestyle. From the food you eat to how you perform your warm-ups and cool-downs, every detail matters. My students are not just learning a game; they are learning how to manage their body and mind for the long haul. Whether you need a physiotherapist to help with a knee injury or a coach to guide you toward national championships, my doors are open.
