From wheel-thrown mugs to hand-sculpted statement vases, this is a look at my craft. Explore the slow, thoughtful process behind every piece created at Mitti Space.

This octopus vase is one of my most beloved creations. I spent hours sculpting each tentacle, letting the clay guide me to create a sense of movement and life. It’s a perfect example of the whimsical, nature-inspired, and deeply personal art I love to make.

Here I am, peeking out from behind a new piece in the studio. This is my happy place, surrounded by mitti, works-in-progress, and endless possibilities. Every piece I make holds a little bit of this joy.

This is Hithika, one of our wonderful teachers, proudly holding a vase she threw on the wheel. Seeing students find their confidence and joy with clay is the most rewarding part of my work at Mitti Space.

This video shows the patient process of sgraffito, where I carve intricate designs into the clay's surface. I find a deep sense of peace in this slow, detailed work, etching a story of a crane against the moon.

A quiet morning moment with a set of my wheel-thrown Nerikomi mugs. I love how the soft, marbled patterns make each mug unique, perfect for your daily chai or coffee ritual. These are the kinds of beautiful, functional pieces I create for you to bring into your home.

A little bit of Ghibli magic in this wheel-thrown matcha bowl. I've always been inspired by the whimsy of those films, and this piece, with its playful Totoro-like character, is a nod to that love. It’s made for fellow matcha lovers and dreamers.

This is where the magic begins, on the potter's wheel. This video shows the process of 'collaring', gently shaping the clay inward to create a narrow form. It’s a dance of pressure and patience, listening to what the clay wants to become.

A glimpse into the beautiful chaos of The Mitti Collective, our studio pop-up event. It was so wonderful to see our space filled with art lovers supporting local makers. This is the community that makes Mitti Space so special.

When you choose a custom commission, keep in mind that clay requires patience. My pieces, particularly the larger sculptural vases, need four to ten weeks for proper drying and firing cycles. If you have a specific date in mind for a gift, reach out early so we can plan the process together.
